Appreciate the art : garment design is an art.

From pattern drafting and sketching, to screen printing and sewing... appreciate it!

Save the trade : becoming a lost art??

trade skills in sewing, pattern drafting, design and all facets of the fashion industry are disappearing as mass production methods of clothing manufacturing take over.  Buying from local, independent designers will keep these trade skills from becoming just a tale of "how we used to make clothes in the good ol' days"!!

Quality over quantity : mass produced garments fall apart at the seams...

due to hurried construction methods and low quality textiles used to meet the high quotas and low budgets of the huge clothing corporations, making even larger profits!  INTEGRITY garments, home furnishings and accessories are made in small quantities, ensuring that attention is paid to the detail in construction quality.

Value individuality : speak for yourself!!!

when a handful of companies, own 100 to 1000 of their same clothing stores world wide, how many people fit those moulds?  Expressing yourself through your clothing, not only by style but by the maker itself, lets you say something to the world around you without saying a word . . . do you want to say the same thing as the other 100 000 people who own that shirt?

Think BIG live small : Consider this...

if a fabric is woven in India, the cutting and prep work is done in indonesia, the garment is constructed in China, packaging is done in Pakistan and then it is shipped here to North America to a head office and then distributed to stores world wide . . . how much unnecessary pollution is spewed across the world,  for garments (and all items in general... turn any item over in your home... does it say 'made in China'?)  that we are completely capable of making right here with our own skills and resources? All because of cheap overseas labour.  But at what cost?  Why is the rest of the world labouring around the clock manufacturing items for us, which we barely care to keep for more than one season?  Think of the planet as your home, our home.  These resources are not infinite, this planet is not infinite....

Think big, live small... live with INTEGRITY!
